Baroda vs Punjab (VHT’17)

Whenever it is Baroda the only name comes up is Irfan Pathan and who is the skipper of Baroda as well. Well I Pathan is not in the prime form but has contributed with the ball in last 2 matches. Certainly if Deepak Hooda is associated with any team how his performance can be unheard of. In the starting match he started his innings with a Century and Baroda registered a win in their first match with solid contribution with the bat by Hooda and Devdhar. With the ball 3 wickets snatched by IPL performer Krunal Pandya with 2-2 wickets by Hardik Pandya and I Pathan but non of them could perform in 2nd match except 79 runs by Waghmode fast 43 runs by Krunal Pandya and 2 wickets by Babashafi Pathan.

Punjab’s command being taken by none other than Harbhajan Singh. Well as we know Shubham Gill from under 19 team how he hit a century after century against England and surprisingly he continues his form in this trophy as well with 121 runs against Assam with some support of Gurkeerat Singh. Mandeep Singh, Manan Vohra and Abhishek Sharma are other performers who played well in first match but did not do well in 2nd. In bowlers we have bowlers who knows how to swing the ball Sandeep Sharma, M. Gony and Bhajji Paaji but one bowler who took 5 wickets in 2 matches in S. kaul.

So much to take and So much to leave

Possible Lineup: Pinal Shah (wk), Mandeep Singh, Hooda, Waghmode, S.Gill, G.Mann, K.Pandya, B.Pathan, Sandeep Sharma, Harbhajan Singh, S.Kaul

One can take I Pathan to make the side more balanced in place of Sandeep Sharma or Harbhajan Singh

Cap: Shubham Gill/Hooda

VC: Krunal Pandya/S.Kaul.
