Guptill is back. He has joined the New Zealand squad for the rest of the two odi matches and expected to open with Brownlie. After the collapse of NZ batting in 3rd ODI they must be thinking to make some changes in the team. In last match Ferguson replaced Sodhi but did not perform well and went expensive, Matt Henry might be another option to replace Ferguson. Jeetan Patel has been included in the squad seeing the turning nature of the pitch and might get a chance above Sodhi.
Tom Lathan and Neil Broom likely to be axed for the 4th ODI because of their continuous dismal performance so far in the series which could give a chance to Luke Ronchi.
RSA players must be pretty much warmed up, motivated after getting huge win over NZ in the last match and they will look to win the series instead of making 5th ODI as the decider. So far Kock has been performing very well, consecutive 50 in last two matches and this could be the match to mark 100. Amla and Faf both the players are not in form and it hardly takes a fraction of second for these classy players to start performing. ABD has always been a remarkable.
Morris dropped last time and Parnell was retained. May be this time Morris will come but not at the expense of Parnell who performed really well in the last match. Kasigo Rabada is fit and will prove his fitness before the match and most likely to be included in the team. But just like New-Zealand, South Africa has also started bowlers rotation policy.
Pitch looks like giving some aid to spinners so NZ might give a chance to Jeetan Patel or Ish Sodhi and Tahir may regain its lost charm in this series. South Africa may be looking towards Tabraiz Shamsi but he will be replacing whom? The question remains unanswered
Possible Lineup 1: Kock(wk), ABD, Amla, Williamson, Taylor, Guptill, Pretorius, Santner, Boult, Southee, Parnell/Phehlukwayo.
Possible Lineup 2: Kock(wk), ABD, Miller/Duminy, Williamson, Taylor, Guptill, Pretorius, Santner, Boult, Southee, Tahir/Rabada.
